The Lowdown: Ten Hag incoming…
da aviator aposta: Ajax boss Erik ten Hag is edging closer to becoming the new man in charge of the Red Devils.
Romano dropped a major update on Twitter on Monday afternoon, stating that an agreement is now set to be completed, even dropping his famous ‘here we go’.
United are in contact with Ajax over a €2m clause, with reports previously suggesting that Van Persie was under consideration to join Ten Hag in England.
The Latest: Romano’s reply
The transfer expert was asked by one fan following his big update regarding Ten Hag whether Van Persie will be joining the 52-year-old’s coaching team in England.
Romano replied, saying that there has been ‘problems with the work permit’, adding ‘let’s see next days’.
The Verdict: Not ideal
Mitchell van der Gaag is thought to be Ten Hag’s ‘priority’ when it comes to his backroom staff, however, this update on Van Persie isn’t brilliant news.
It seems as if Ten Hag would be keen on bringing the former striker back to Manchester, and you’d expect the 38-year-old would bring his own coaching qualities, especially when it comes to helping the club’s attacking stars find their stride.
